School Closure - From 12:15 on Wednesday November 9 2022

Dear Parents and Carers

As you may know, public sector unions have called stop work action on the afternoon of Wednesday, 9 November 2022.

As a result of the number of staff participating in this action, a decision has been made to temporarily close all Tasmanian Government Schools for educational instruction from 12.15pm on Wednesday, 9 November 2022.  The exception to this is those sites holding Year 11/12 exams which will remain open for exams only.

This means that on Wednesday our school will open as normal in the morning and students will be able to arrive at school as they normally do on this day.  However, families will need to make arrangements to pick their child up at 12.15pm.

Please also note that we have been advised that buses will run as per their usual timetable in the morning and afternoon.  Therefore, if your child relies on bus transport in the afternoon you will need to make other arrangements for their travel home as they will need to be collected at 12.15pm.

Further information can be found on the Department’s website

Yours sincerely

Courtney Howard

Our SRC students have organised Pyjama Day for next Friday 2nd September!

Donations of a gold coin will go to Loui’s Van for St Vincent De Paul.

As per communication sent out last term, we are now following up on outstanding cooked lunch payments half termly. Our records show that your child has a balance owing for the first 5 weeks of term 3. Please settle this amount either via the QKR app or at the office before Friday to ensure your child can continue the cooked lunch program next week. If you are unsure of the amount owing, please contact Anthea in the office.
